The White Paper was intended as a source to establish a common understanding of sustainability management and Green Controlling in the Social Economy within the project team, project partners and interested lecturers from the field of Social Economy and Social Work who would like to cover the topic of sustainability in the Social Economy for the first time. It highlights the most relevant aspects of this new topic in three chapters: the Social Economy, sustainability and sustainability management and Green Controlling.

Learning & teaching materials

Based on the White Paper, a series of four courses were created. The courses consist of a

  • Lecturer Guide (contains a guideline for the implementation of the lectures with working tasks for the students and videos that can be used as pocket lectures),
  • Script with practical examples and
  • Power Point slides.

Course 1: Management in the Social Economy

Pocket lectures: Short video clips that provide information on specific themes based on the courses.

Simulation Games

In addition, two Simulation Games were developed to strengthen the discussion on the topics of sustainability and Green Controlling in the Social Economy in a more practical way. For the implementation of the Simulation Games in class, there are manuals that provide guidance.

Simulation Game #1

eco3-tool

The eco3-tool was developed for specific working tasks and the Simulation Game #2. With this tool students learn how to retrieve data from business cases and how to work hands-on with a software for Green Controlling.

There is also a manual with a step-to-step guide for the eco3-tool.
